Pit Fired & Smoke Fired Pottery

Since all pit fired and smoke fired pottery is un-glazed it is never intended to hold water. They are made with the intention to be used as a decorative piece. The shiny surface is obtained by a laborious task of hand polishing the clay before firing. They may be used with dried flowers, grasses and foliage however.
